On July 24th, 2008 we held a networking fair on responding to climate change. Over 50 people from the region participated. This was a very flexible and informal event designed to allow people to connect with organizations that would assist them in accomplishing their goals in addressing the issue. One-on-one discussions were supplemented by displays and several short presentations.
Partnering organizations represented at the event included: Sustainable Lawrence, Isles, NJ Department of Environmental Protection Office of Planning and Sustainable Communities, NJ Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability, NJ Environmental Lobby, NJ Environmental Education Fund, BOOST, Community Green, Cooling America Thru Local Leadership, TCNJ Municipal Land Use Center, TCNJ Water Watch, TCNJ Bonner Center for Civic and Community Engagement, TCNJ President’s Climate Commitment Committee, and more.
We will be holding more of these networking events.
